Brenda Calkins is a Certified Public Accountant with 19 years of experience in public and private accounting. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University, San Bernardino, where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society and was named to the Dean’s List. She has worked for both Ernst & Young, and a large local CPA firms in the inland empire. Her Corporate experience includes Bausch and Lomb’s ophthalmic surgical division in Claremont and Bourns corporate offices in Riverside. In addition she has taught accounting at Chaffey College.
Brenda has owned her own CPA practice located in Lake Arrowhead from 1995-2004 and Temecula/Murrieta since 1998. The primary focus of her practice has been to serve was a business consultant for small to medium sized business in the area of accounting, QuickBooks training, support and installation as a Certified Professional Advisor, and tax compliance and planning.
Brenda has also obtained a certificate of completion in Personal Financial Planning courses from the Cal CPA education foundation and is a Notary. Brenda has been the author of several articles on accounting and tax and is a committee member for the 2008 Succession Planning Conference for the Cal CPA Education Foundation. Brenda also serves on the board of directors for North Oaks Homeowners Associates as treasurer.
